Airstream launches a new adventure van for Class B market

Top American RV brand Airstream looks set to continue to cater to the younger and more outdoors-orientated buying audience with the launch of its new Interstate 24X Touring Coach. The new Class B motorhome is loaded with practical features that make it ideal for combining camping with other outdoors activities such as cycling, kayaking, fishing and hiking.

Built on the same powerful, capable Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van chassis as its Airstream touring coach cousins, the Interstate 24X has a 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel engine that packs 188 horsepower and 325 lbs of torque. It’s six rugged wheels and dirt-road-ready tires make it ideal for taking off-road while its excellent power means it can handle challenging terrain and tow up to 5,000lbs.

The vehicle is wrapped in an ultra-durable protective coating around its front and rear as well as along the sides, protecting the sleek silver body front scratches on the way into camp. And a performance lighting system gives you powerful ways to banish the night – including a 42-inch LED Light Bar above the windshield.

Inside, the Interstate 24X has a versatile and stylishly finished living area with many configurations available. When you place the backrests between the benchseats you can create one of the largest beds in any Class B motorhome while a thoughtfully-designed Aluminum Aircraft L-Track Storage System on the walls, ceiling, and floor gives you many storage options at the rear.
