AL-KO gains quality management certificate for Australian facility

AL-KO Vehicle Technology is celebrating after its Dandenong South facility near Melbourne, Australia was recently awarded the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 certification. This certification shows that AL-KO’s products and services from this Australian facility meet the needs of its customers through an effective quality management system.

The company has been working towards this certification for some time and believes it showcases a commitment to continuous improvement of its products and services.

Janan Shaana, quality engineer for AL-KO Vehicle Technology Australia and New Zealand, said: “The AL-KO team undertook an 18-month internal process to become ISO 9001:2015 compliant. This was followed by an extensive company-wide audit that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances.”

Meanwhile, Grant Douglas, managing director of AL-KO Vehicle Technology Australia and New Zealand, added: “This is a significant milestone in our journey of improvement. I am extremely proud of our team for this achievement – ISO 9001 accreditation proves our commitment to providing the best possible outcomes for our customers. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and the implementation of an ISO 9001:2015 accreditation ensures we have the processes and systems in place for this.”

This site wide certification adds to the already existing ISO 9001 certification of AL-KO’s Recreational Vehicle Technology Centre, also at the site location in Dandenong South. Gaining ISO 9001:2015 across the whole Dandenong South site reinforces AL-KO’s vision to be the leading innovator and provider of towing and RV solutions, measured against global benchmarks.
