Alphavan celebrates reaching design award final with virtual pop-up music festival

Premium German campervan brand Alphavan has reason to celebrate after being nominated among the finalists for the prestigious iF Design Award 2021. Alphavan, which launched in 2020 is already making a name for itself for its progressive and modern campervan designs and joins submissions from 52 countries in the final judging of the iF Design Award, which this year received a record 10,000 submissions.

In order to celebrate reaching this stage, Alphavan is hosting a virtual pop-up campervan DJ music set via YouTube featuring music from DJ Marc Spieler.

Alphavan founder Phillip Wex said: “The intent is to bring rhythm and beats into the current grey times and to give back lust and energy to the virtual guests of the online event.

“After the initial and very spontaneous idea of this Campervan Pop-Up Music Festival the team has, in the meantime, developed further concepts of how to bring such pop-up events to broader life when the personal COVID-19 restrictions come to an end during the summer – be excited about more to come.

“The progressive design of the Alphavan, the lightweight materials and the highly innovative layout appeal to many different customer groups. Whereas the obvious use of a private campervan is clear, it also appeals to commercial customers as a mobile alternative to high-end hotel accommodation, in which business meetings can take place or one’s own home office can be integrated.

“With the new idea of the mobile DJ music set the team wanted to show that the Alphavan can be used for much more: the FlexPort ensures safe stowing of equipment such as sound and light systems, DJ tables or music mixing systems The energy concept of the Alphavan with a premium Li-Ion battery and a high quality voltage inverter enables such short events even if no landline power is available.”
