CMT returns with bumper attendance

Leading tourism and holiday fair CMT got off to a flying start on is opening weekend, welcoming more than 80,000 visitors to the Messe Stuttgart in Germany. Forecasts in Germamy are predicting another bumper year in the travel and tourism industry, particularly in relation to caravanning and RVing, and the first weekend of this month’s CMT Show seemed to prove that point.

“The CMT is back. We are as strong as we were before Corona,” explained Roland Bleinroth, managing director of Messe Stuttgart. “[It is] an excellent start for this year's Stuttgart Holiday Trade Fair and for our exhibitors. The atmosphere is overwhelming. Not only in the tourism sector, but also in the camping and caravanning halls. Here, the density of visitors is also enormous, the interest in this form of holiday remains very high.”

CMT is hosting more than 1,200 caravans, campervans, vans and other recreational vehicles, 120 new products, numerous world premieres, accessories, and much more. One major change for CMT this year is that the show will benefit from subsidiary shows running alongside the caravanning and general tourism aspects, including the Bicycle and Hiking Travel Show, Golf and Wellness Travel Show, and Cruise and Ship Travel Show, giving a more complete experience to visitors. CMT continues to build its claim as being the number one holiday show in Europe.

Guido von Vacano, member of the board of management of Messe Stuttgart, added: “The atmosphere in our Outdoor Hall is great. Visitors are in lively exchange with exhibitors and get advice on the latest models and travel offers. Everyone is completely satisfied.”
