IN DEPTH: What's new from Cathargo for 2021?

Well known for its premium quality camping leisure vehicles, German motorhome expert Cathargo appears to have pulled out all the stops with its new product reveals for 2021. For starters, the company has expanded the range of base vehicles it now offers its premium motorhomes on to three – Fiat Ducato and Mercedes Benz Sprinter with AL-KO low frame Cathargo special as single or twin axle vehicles, and Iveco Daily with robust ladder high frame class, rear-wheel drive and dual wheels. This in itself shows that the company is willing to offer its customers choice, and it maintains that no matter which base vehicle is chosen, Cathargo’s premium DNA will be present throughout the vehicle from start to finish.

 

Here’s a little extra detail on those base vehicles and chassis: 

FIAT DUCATO

  • Single axle: AL-KO up to 4.8t
  • Twin axle: AL-KO DA up to 5.4t
  • A lightweight, front-wheel drive option
  • Engines with 2.3ltr capacity (178HP)
  • Emissions level Euro 6d-TEMP
  • Safety systems aplenty (depending on main cab)
  • Optional nine-gear ZF automatic transmission

MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER

  • Single axle: AL-KO up to 4.5t
  • Twin axle: AL-KO up to 5.5t
  • Lightweight and front-wheel drive
  • Engines with 2.2ltr capacity (170HP)
  • Emissions level Euro VI
  • Fuel-saving electro-hydraulic steering
  • Electric parking brake
  • Optional Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system

IVECO DAILY

  • Permissible gross weight up to 6.7t
  • Strong and robust ladder high frame
  • High-traction rear wheel drive
  • Towing capacity up to 3,500kg
  • Engines up to 3.0ltr capacity (210HP)
  • Emissions level Euro VI
  • Fuel-saving electro-hydraulic steering
  • Optional eight-gear ZF automatic transmission
  • Optional Iveco assistant systems
