RV and outdoor product expert Dometic has entered into an agreement to acquire Italian company NDS Energy – an expert in mobile power solutions for the outdoor market. The move, it’s claimed, will further strengthen and increase Dometic’s offering and market presence in the mobile power solutions sector in the European outdoor market.

Headquartered in Pescara, Italy, NDS Energy provides mobile power solutions including solar power systems, chargers and inverters to dealers across the European market, including more than 200 in Italy. The company’s net sales for the last 12 months were approximately €11 million, while it also boasts good operating margin and strong organic sales growth.

A statement from Dometic detailed: “The electrification trend in the Outdoor industry is strong and further expansion in the market for mobile power solutions is a strategic priority for Dometic. With more and more people spending time outdoors, using a vehicle or boat as their base, the need for off-grid power is driving a rapid increase in the demand for efficient and sustainable mobile power solutions. The acquisition of NDS Energy broadens Dometic’s offering, distribution network and capabilities in this area.”
