Dometic launches family tents made from recycled material

Global camping and mobile living brand Dometic has launched a new range of family tents that are made with Weathershield Redux material that is made from 100 per cent recycled plastic bottles and Global Recycled Standard certified. The Dometic Rarotonga collection will comprise inflatable, lightweight tents that offer a reliable way for families to enjoy the great outdoors safe in the knowledge they are doing their bit for the environment.

To begin with there will be two tents in the range: the Rarotonga FTT401 Redux and the Rarotonga FTT601 Redux, both of which have features including large mesh windows to increase air circulation, patent pending rear storage areas, Multi Point Inflation Air Frame technology, and reflective Quickpitch guiding systems. They are also supplied with inner tents, front canopy groundsheets, storm straps, hand pumps, pegs and carry bags.

A statement from Dometic explained: “Constructed with all-new polyester, woven with recycled plastic bottle yarn, this inflatable tent is lightweight and extremely reliable too. Mesh windows with zipped blinds and the recycled oxford polyester groundsheet add comfort and provide reliable performance as you explore the outdoors.

“Dometic contributes to a more sustainable world by enabling people to enjoy and explore nature - locally and more frequently.
