Front Runner launches new van roof rack system dual-branded with Dometic

Front Runner has released a new van rack system that is the first major collaboration between the company and its new parent firm Dometic – combining the two brands’ strengths. Front Runner became part of the Dometic Group in May 2021, with both firms market leaders in solutions for mobile living and outdoor lifestyle markets – the new Slimpro van rack system not only offers an additional entry point for those wishing to get into overlanding but also gives the van market a rack with multiple options from camping to load-hauling utility.

The Slimpro van rack follows in the footsteps of the time-tested Slimline II Roof Rack system for most vehicle types and the recently launched Slimsport Roof Rack for Trucks and CUV’s. With vans varying widely in sizes, shapes and applications, this new roof rack was designed to be highly customizable. It features an adjustable slat system to accommodate just about any type of roof-mounted equipment such as air conditioning units, skylights and air vents. The Slimpro Van Rack is compatible with most van sizes thanks to the adjustability of the Rack’s foot rail. This allows it to fit multiple van lengths, while the highly adjustable slat system offers rigidity and strength. Existing OEM mounting points are used to install the foot rail with no drilling necessary. In addition, the design allows for the rack to easily adapt to high and low-roof vans.

In keeping with Front Runner tradition, the latest rack is light in weight and low in profile. However, its sleek and unobtrusive aesthetics do not mean a compromise on carrying capacity. Whether a long distance van-life mission, weekend trip or hauling equipment such as building materials and supplies, the low-profile and highly modular rack is designed to support large loads.
