Leading UK motorhome dealer Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld has had its work towards training its staff recognised with a prestigious local award. The family-run company just picked up the Training Excellence award at the annual Stoke-on-Trent Live Business Awards, and was also a runner up in the Business of the Year category too.

Ross Edwards, managing director at Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won the Training Excellence award and to have been in the running for the Business of the Year prize.

“Maintaining outstanding customer service and knowledge of all our products is a huge part of our offering which is why we invest so heavily in training.

“We have more than 80 per cent of our workforce currently undergoing some form of training and there are more than 30 subjects our colleagues can study, as well as complete apprenticeships and NVQ courses.

“Throughout the last 12 months and as a result of the pandemic, we have also developed courses on anxiety and mental health, as well as bereavement training.

“While the development and the care of our staff is at the heart of all the training we do, we are delighted that this commitment to improvement of the team has been recognised through us winning this prestigious award.”
