Mercedes-Benz Vans increases global sales by 4 per cent in Q3

Despite the ongoing worldwide challenges regarding parts supply and logistics, Mercedes-Benz Vans has reported a 4 per cent increase in global sales for Q3 of 2022 – selling some 99,700 vans. Privately positioned vans made the strongest contribution to this with a rise in sales of 32 per cent (17,200 units) for this period from July to September. With the V-Class and the fully electric MPV EQV, sales of these two models in the mid segment were increased by 21 per cent to 15,700 units. The completely new T-Class, which has been available since summer this year, as well as the commercially positioned Citan, were able to convince numerous customers in the small van segment (+ 86 per cent). The continued high demand for motorhomes still has a positive effect on the sales of the Marco Polo and all of its derivatives.

Another highlight of these recent figures from Mercedes-Benz vans is that the company grew sales of eVans for the first nine months of 2022 to around 3,300 units.

Klaus Rehkugler, head of Mercedes-Benz Vans sales, said: “With around 100,000 units in the third quarter, we have achieved robust sales and are thus slightly above the prior-year level. We have succeeded in expanding our share of market in strategically important regions such as North America and achieved our best quarter ever to date in Asia.”
