Lippert launches Bluetooth RV door lock

RV components supply expert Lippert has launched its first ever Bluetooth-enabled, keyless RV door lock – the latest development in a fast-growing market of smartphone RV technology. The Lippert RV door lock allows you to lock and unlock your RV directly from your smartphone, and uses proximity sensors to register your location and will provide remote locking and unlocking access through the OneControl app. The lock also provides audible feedback for successful locking and unlocking functions. In addition, the Bluetooth RV door lock is equipped with two methods for entry in case of smart device failure or dead batteries: a keypad, which illuminates at night for full-button visibility, and standard keys.

“The keyless RV door lock with Bluetooth is a great new option for RV owners seeking safety for their family and their belongings,” said Mark Boessler, senior vice president of aftermarket sales at Lippert. “With multiple entry options, this great new product is a perfect upgrade for any travel trailer or 5th wheel owner.”

RV owners can use the OneControl app to set different battery modes for their Bluetooth RV lock. Normal mode is for basic operation, while Storage mode can be turned on when your camper is in storage and the app will no longer control the lock. Low Power mode reduces battery consumption by 30 per cent to extend battery life. The OneControl app conveniently tracks the door lock battery life, so you’ll know when it’s time to replace the batteries.

The door lock requires no wiring for installation and can be retrofitted on most RV entry doors with standard latches.
