OLPRO awarded B-Corp certification

British tent, awning, and camping accessory brand OLPRO has been awarded B-Corporation certification, demonstrating its dedication to people and the planet. The company, which was founded in 2011, has become the first UK-based camping company to achieve the certification, which will see it regularly audited against factors such as governance, workers, and the environment.

Founder and managing director of OLPRO, Daniel Walton said: “Since starting the company in 2011, ensuring that OLPRO is a force for change has been an integral part of our development. We remain a company that puts our workers, customers, the community, and the environment above all else, and we strive to only improve on all these factors.

“This certification demonstrates the hard work that everyone at OLPRO puts in every day to establish us as a standout brand that leads with integrity and determination, working to better the standard of business practices for all.’’

As well as its B-Corp certification, OLPRO remains dedicated to sustainability by implementing measures such as a tree planting initiative that has seen it plant a sapling for every new tent, awning, or backpack it sells. The company also has a tent loan scheme to ensure tents see more use and beyond the life of products the brand is involved in local upcycling of products if they can’t be sold as pre-loved.
